The Glen Mhor distillery was founded in 1892 by John Birnie and James Mackinlay. The Inverness distillery became part of a Private Limited Company in 1906 with John Walker & Son having a substantial shareholding. A supermarket complex now occupies the site of the distillery following its closure in 1983.

Tasting Notes
Bottling: Rarest of the Rare Glen Mhor 1975 - 28yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Rarest of the Rare Single Malt Scotch
Cask No: 4038.
Colour: Warm Gold.
Nose: Very creamy and minty, burnt caramel and white chocolate.
Flavour: Slightly burnt, butter, cream and rum.
Finish: Long, Full and mouth coating. Very very rich.
Comments:  A rich smoothy.

Bottling: Rarest of the Rare Glen Mhor 1975 - 29yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 4030 - SHERRY CASK.
Colour: Gold.
Nose: Full of fudge and toffee – butterscotch.
Flavour: Creamy milky and chewy.
Finish: Coating creaminess and full of caramel.
Comments:  A big toffee dram.
