Points of Interest: The name comes from the Gaelic "Llanmorgund" denoting "place of the holy man," as the distillery was said to be on the site of an ancient abbey. The distillery has a disused waterwheel and an old steam engine which still functions today.

Tasting Notes
Bottling: Duncan Taylor Longmorn 1973 - 30yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Duncan Taylor Single Malt Scotch
Cask No: 8919.
Colour: pale gold with copper highlights.
Nose: very buttery - creamy, fresh and citrusy.
Flavour: crisp, waxy fruits - orange rind and honey.
Finish: full, round and fruity.
Comments:  A cracking example of Longmorn.

Bottling: Duncan Taylor Longmorn 1973 - 315yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 8912 .
Colour: Bright Gold.
Nose: Custard creams followed by chocolate, honey and syrup.
Flavour: Smooth. Woodynotes held in place by intense fruits and a hint of spice.
Finish: Long and velvety.
Comments:  A silky whisky.

Bottling: Duncan Taylor Longmorn 1978 - 25yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 5556.
Colour: Antique bronze.
Nose: Sweet honey and light smokiness with a hint of vanilla toffee.
Flavour: Cirtus fruits. Very round and full but gentle.

Colour: Pale Gold.
Nose: Sweet, very fruity, syrupy and a hint of vanilla.
Flavour: Big old whisky fruits, silky smooth.
Finish: Touch of oak comes through full on orange syrup.
Comments:  What more could you want - cant think of much!

Colour: Pale Straw.
Nose: Herbal, muggy, slightly medicinal with a faint hint of smoke.
Flavour: Woody, dry, Vanilla and perfumed smoke.
Finish: Long - olive like.
Comments:  Longmorn - never disappoints.



Bottling: Whisky Galore Longmorn 1987 - 16yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Whisky Galore
Cask No: n/a - 46%.
Colour: Pale straw with golden highlights.
Nose: Light smoke with sweet fruitiness.
Flavour: Grapes and baked apples. Light oakiness.
Finish: Complex, full & long.
Comments:  A real fruit medley! Fantastic!

Bottling: Whisky Galore Longmorn 1990 - 14yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Cask No: n/a - 46%.
Colour: Amber with golden highlights.
Nose: Floral, fruity. Fresh.
Flavour: Apples, vanilla, fruitcake.
Finish: Smooth, sweet, nutty maltiness.
Comments:  According to our M.D., one of the best Longmorn casks ever bottled!
