Miltonduff distillery was established in 1824 on the old site of Pluscarden Priory and is among the first officially licensed distilleries. The majority of whisky produced at the distillery is used in Ballantine’s blends. The Miltonduff distillery produced another malt called Mosstowie from 1964 until the stills were changed to increase production of Miltonduff in 1981.

Tasting Notes
Bottling: Duncan Taylor Miltonduff 1966 - 36yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 1014.
Colour: Gold.
Nose: Light sherry, oaky vanilla.
Flavour: Spicy and peppery – orange peel.
Finish: Light and refreshing.
Comments:  A must try.

Bottling: Duncan Taylor Miltonduff 1966 - 38yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 1011.
Colour: Gold.
Nose: Hint of Chocolate, fresh floral notes and lemon sherbet.
Flavour: Warm and woody, citrus fruits with a touch of spice.
Finish: Long and fruity with wood developing.
Comments:  Exceedingly drinkable.

Bottling: Duncan Taylor Miltonduff (200ml) 1969 - 36yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 5418.
Colour: Gold.
Nose: Sweet, vanilla, cream and intense fruit.
Flavour: Big and fruit yet creaminess softens everything.
Finish: Light, crisp fruits and creamy.
Comments:  A real creamy dram.

Bottling: Lonach Miltonduff 1968 - 37yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Cask No: n/a.
Colour: Pale Gold.
Nose: Fresh, appley, grassy malty and creamy.
Flavour: Sweet, fresh fruit salad with pouring cream.
Finish: Touch of oakiness holds everything together perfectly.
