Pittyvaich distillery was built on the grounds of Pittyvaich farm in 1975 adjacent to Dufftown distillery. Pittyvaich was mothballed in 1993 and despite several small spells of distillation after this the distillery was demolished in 2003.

Tasting Notes
Bottling: Rarest of the Rare Pittyvaich 1979 - 25yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 5637.
Colour: Pale Gold.
Nose: Sweet, oranges, peaches and custard creams.
Flavour: Rich, dry. Malty with a fruity background.
Finish: Long, drying and citrusy.
Comments:  A light fruity cracker.

Bottling: Rarest of the Rare Pittyvaich 1979 - 26yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 5127.
Colour: Pale Gold.
Nose: Very sweet, lots of citrus fruits.
Flavour: Creamy and malty with an orangey background.
Finish: Leaves an orangey finish.
Comments:  A Citrus burst.

Colour: Light Straw.
Nose: Sweet bananas and glazed fruit sweets.
Flavour: Fresh fruity, dried apples and a touch of oak.
Finish: Oakiness and growing fruits.
Comments:  A cracking fruity whisky.
